The Calico Rock Museum Foundation
entered a contract to provide visitor
center, museum, and business &
industry recruitment services for the
city of Calico Rock, Arkansas on
January 1, 2012. The foundation
receives $4,750 per quarter and the use
of the city property with utilities on
Main Street.
According to an Arkansas Attorney
General's Opinion, the foundation is
compelled for limited compliance with
the Freedom of Information Act. The
foundation will post our monthly city
council reports.
The foundation has posted a copy of the
contract on this page.
The foundation is a private organization
that will comply with the open meeting
requirements of the FOIA when the
meeting deals with matters specific to
the contract with the city. Other
meetings are exempt from this
requirement.
