The Calico Rock Heritage
Center is a bridge between our

visitors. The museum focuses
solely on the history and culture
of the Calico Rock area.
Visitors will experience life in
the ozarks, traveling aboard a
steamboat on the White River,
the boom of the railroad,
crossing the ferry, and the
modernization that came with
the bridge across our river.

Capture the Image of Your Community
Help your children learn more about the history of your community by capturing an image of the community. Take
your children about your community along with a camera and take photos of your family in front of community
landmarks, old barns, old houses, and great scenes in the community.
Then, make a collage of your photographs. Help your children decorate the collage with words, drawings, and
stories they learn about these scenes, their feelings about them, and what they liked about the tour!
