Preserve the History of Your Family
Help your children learn more about your family and preserve timeless stories by conducting an oral
history project similar to one the museum intends to employ. Use a digital MP3 recorder, a simple tape
player or video camera to interview older members of your family. Ask them questions about their
childhood, their memories of historic national events that occurred in their lifetime, and their hopes for
their family's future.
Be sure to record at least some of the stories told on paper and take lots of photographs of those you
interview with the many generations involve in the project.
